My Pathway to College™ provides services in comprehensive pathway packages, custom tailored 4-hour packages, as well as an hourly option to meet a variety of student needs.

 

Our comprehensive packages include guided support and contact between meetings via phone, Skype, e-mail, or text through the end of your student’s senior year. The comprehensive option is your best value! Below is detailed information regarding our comprehensive packages by grade level:

DISCOVERING MY PATH

9th/10th Grade

Designed for 9th and 10th grade students and families to assist them annually in outlining an agreed upon college and career pathway. These pathway meetings will include:

​

  • Course selection

  • Assistance with planning extracurricular activities

  • Finding summer programs tailored towards student’s interests

  • Standardized test preparation and a test taking timeline

  • Guidelines for first steps in the college planning process

  • Major exploration with a career assessment, the Strong Interest Inventory®

  • ​

NAVIGATING MY PATH

11th Grade

Designed for 11th grade students during the most stressful year of high school. This is a time when students and families begin to have questions and need assistance in navigating the student’s pathway to success. Through in-person meetings scheduled throughout the school year and support between meetings, My Pathway to College™ will guide students in navigating their pathway and make key decisions that will allow students and families to prepare for the admissions process. These pathway meetings will include:

  • Course selection for senior year

  • Assistance with planning extracurricular activities and building a resume

  • Finding summer programs and pre-college experiences tailored towards student’s interests

  • Standardized test preparation and a test taking timeline

  • Major exploration with a career assessment, the Strong Interest Inventory

  • Guidelines for the college application process and ways to help students stand out from their peers

  • Research guidance on reviewing colleges

  • Access to My Pathway to CollegeTM college consulting software program to assist with staying organized and researching colleges of interest

  • Reaching out to colleges and visiting colleges to demonstrate interest

  • Assistance with determining a “best fit” college list

  • Determining an application timeline

  • Letters of recommendation guidance

  • Essay brainstorming

EMBARKING ON MY JOURNEY

12th Grade

Designed for 12th grade students to assist them with organizational tools and guidance in navigating the application process with minimal stress. Through in person meetings scheduled throughout the school year and support between meetings, My Pathway to College™ will assist seniors with how to navigate the admissions process. These pathway meetings will include:

​

  • Selecting their ideal college matches

  • Reaching out to colleges to set up interviews, visit colleges, and show demonstrated interest

  • Putting together an application timeline (determining which colleges to apply to with early action, early decision, and regular decision)

  • Staying on top of deadlines

  • Preparing students for interviews

  • Assisting with financial aid guidance or scholarship applications

  • Brainstorming essays

  • Perfecting and providing essay feedback

  • Assisting with recommendation letters

  • Breaking up applications and essays into manageable deadlines and reviewing applications prior to submission

  • Sending off testing results to each college

  • Managing applications, creating college portals, and ensuring all application materials are received

  • Email updates to colleges with any additional new information during the senior year (increase in grades, additional extracurricular activities/awards, etc.)

  • Assistance with choosing the best fit college from the student’s acceptances
